False Kiva-Canyonlands NP, Utah
This ancient Anasazi Indian ruin is known as 'false' Kiva, due to the fact that most Kiva's were built as subterranean chambers accessible only by a log ladder through a small rooftop opening. But the roof of this large alcove apparently served as an adequate "protective" covering for native Americans worshiping their Gods in this very special and spiritual place.
