Gateway of Colors-Virgin River, Utah

I think of the Virgin River, that cuts through the deep-walled canyons of Zion, as that of a miniature Grand Canyon and I'm fascinated by how long such a relatively slow-flowing 'creek' (although at times raging) has taken to carve such a deep gorge through the thousand foot high walls of this dramatic landscape.
